7th Annual Disco Dance

Mark your calendars on April 16th for the 7th Annual Disco Dance sponsored by the GCC.

Did you miss the last MS Parent Committee Meeting?

Do not worry...please see the meeting notes and other important MS Parent Committee information here. Also, please note there are still positions left to be filled for next year's MS Parent Committee - please consider volunteering! See more info here.

Sponsor the Gala

So far we have $2,500 pledged to support the FoAEA's biggest fundraiser of the year- THE GALA!

Please thank fellow parent's of Einstein students who’s businesses are sponsoring our gala. Please consider patronizing these businesses that support our Einstein Community and the programs YOUR children enjoy!

If you have a business that would like to get the word out to the 1,000 plus community of Einstein, please consider sponsoring the gala. It is a wonderful opportunity to increase your visibility and help your kids. Click on the sponsor image below for more information about the Gala and how to be a sponsor.

1st Annual AEA German Theaterfest

We would like to thank a few individuals for their efforts and support with helping setting up the stage and everybody that was involved - especially Tora Groth and Dave Mello. Thank you to all bakers who donated their cakes for our bake sale. We made $1,140 with the GCC bake sale which will support the German Intern Teacher Programs at AEA.

A few pictures from the event are below including one with the representative of the German Consul.

The Book Fair is Here!

Our second Scholastic Book Fair of the year started last Friday. The book fair will continue the following week, Monday March 14th through March 18th and is open each day all day! Albert Einstein Academy (AEA) believes strongly in the importance and power of reading. The book fair provides you with an opportunity to nurture your reader, while supporting the reading environment at school.

Our goal this season is to sell 1,820 books. All profits go directly to purchase books for the school library and to fund classroom libraries. There are many ways you can show your support: buy a well-priced book from the book fair, buy a book from a teacher’s “wish list” or save time and visit the online book fair

Your child's books will be delivered to their classroom teacher.

We will also have German books available to purchase at the book fair. German books are not-for-profit and are generously purchased by Friends of AEA. They are made available for parents to support their student's German language acquisition and enrichment. This sale will include Barbapapa books, beginning reader Silbenmethode books by Leserabe, Superleser! Series, and much more!

German books are first come, first served. Absolutely no holds. Cash or check only.

Art Supplies - THANK YOU

Dear MS families: A sincere thank you to everyone who generously donated art supplies to Ms. Ramirez for her project last week. She received everything she “wished” for, and her students had a blast. The generosity of our wonderful community never ceases to amaze! (Amy Lanners, MS Teacher Wish List Coordinator)

Fiji Yogurt - Wednesdays at the MS

Look for Thomas with his frozen yogurt cart in front of the middle school at pick up each week on Weds. The AEACMS Parent Committee will receive 20% of proceeds. Funds for the Parent Committee go to help with Staff and Teacher Appreciation Week (STAW) and 8th Grade Graduation, among other teacher and student related activities. Enjoy some fro-yo and help our school at the same time!

Don't forget to use foaea.org/amazon

Last year was our best year ever with raising funds through our Amazon link. The total for last year was $7,983, which was more than twice the previous year. Thank you for making this one of our most successful fundraisers.

Support essential enrichment programs at AEA

Please help support essential programs at AEA through a donation to Friends of Albert Einstein Academies. Our goal is to have 200 families participate in this donation drive. Donating to FoAEA supports the enrichment programs that our kids benefit from including art, music, PE and science programs and provides funds for field trips, assemblies, and classroom supplies.

If you haven't signed up yet, please take 5 minutes to contribute to AEA's enrichment programs. Go to our donation website from your mobile device or computer and select a monthly donation amount or a one time donation. Choose $30/month ($1/day) or any amount affordable to you. Even $5 or $10 per month makes a huge difference for the kids.

Matching Grants

Last year, the following companies made matching grants to FoAEA: Union Bank, Qualcomm, Pfizer, Intuit, Genentech, Covidien, Nokia, and ARS National Svcs.

We thank all of these companies for their generous support. If you work for any of these companies and have not yet taken advantage of their matching grant program, it just takes a few minutes and is free money to the school. One way of finding out if your employeer supports matching grants is to look at this list of companies. Information normally needed to have an employeer make a matching grant is available here.
