2014 Cake Auction and Chili Cookoff
It is time for our annual Cake Auction and Chili Cook Off! Join us in the MPR Saturday, February 22nd from 11am-2pm for lots of fun. Bid on some great cakes, enjoy the all- you-can-eat chili for $5, and spend the day supporting AEA education at this great community event!
Make your favorite chili! Get creative with your cakes! There will be prizes for best cake, best chili, best middle-school cake and best elementary-school cake. This year we are introducing a Chef Cook off competition for middle school students. Details will follow soon.
The rules
- Only homemade cakes are eligible for prizes! All commercially bought cakes will be used for the auction, but will not receive a prize award –All for a good cause!
- To be eligible for a prize, student cakes must be made by the students, without help from parents. Two categories for student cakes are Middle school students and Elementary school students. Adults will also have an entry for best cake and same rules apply.
- Cakes must be edible. Decorative toppings need to be 90% edible; 10% non-toxic decorations can be added to the top of the cake to enhance the theme.
