Science Support Committee
The role of the Science Support Committee is to enhance science education in the AEA elementary and middle schools. The Committee is composed of parents who have expertise in science or engineering as well as those interested in science education.
Friends of AEA has funded a part-time Science Education Coordinator who is focused on bringing hands-on, inquiry based science education into the elementary school classrooms.
We are looking for parents interested in helping the Science Education Coordinator in the elementary classrooms as well as parents interested in giving a guest lecture or lesson on a specific scientific topic in the middle school science classes.
We are also recruiting parents interested in developing a Science Family Night in the spring.
Meetings
Communication will be by email with meetings as needed (2-3 per year.)
